Life Enrichment Social Director Independent Living & Assisted Living Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Life Enrichment Social Director to join our team at The Cascades at Delray Senior Living in Delray Beach, Florida. As a key member of our community, you will be responsible for creating, coordinating, and leading engaging programs and social experiences that promote the physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and spiritual well-being of our Independent Living and Assisted Living residents. Essential Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive monthly life enrichment and social activities calendar for Independent Living and Assisted Living residents. Plan and facilitate a variety of engaging programs, including fitness classes, educational seminars, arts and crafts, games, music, cultural events, volunteer opportunities, and social gatherings. Coordinate special events, holiday celebrations, themed parties, community outings, and resident recognition programs. Assess resident interests, preferences, and abilities to create meaningful, person-centered programming that encourages participation and independence. Welcome and engage new residents by assisting with orientation and helping them become involved in community activities. Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere that promotes resident engagement, friendship, and overall quality of life. Recruit, train, schedule, and recognize volunteers to support life enrichment programming. Collaborate with community leadership and other departments to provide exceptional resident experiences. Develop partnerships with local schools, churches, civic organizations, entertainers, and community groups to expand programming opportunities. Manage the Life Enrichment department budget, supplies, and event planning resources. Maintain accurate activity calendars, attendance records, assessments, and documentation in compliance with company policies and state regulations. Ensure all activities are conducted in a safe, respectful, and inclusive manner. Supervise activities assistants to carry out coordination of activities, planning and events. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, or a related field preferred. Minimum of two years of experience in senior living, hospitality, recreation, event planning, or social programming. Experience working with older adults in Independent Living, Assisted Living, or Memory Care is preferred. Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong leadership, event planning, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other scheduling or activity management software. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Passion for serving older adults and enhancing their quality of life. Creative, energetic, and enthusiastic approach to programming. Excellent public speaking and group facilitation skills. Ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and community partners. Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for special events. Requirements Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening in accordance with state regulations.
