Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assisted Living Manager to oversee the daily operations of our senior living community. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in long-term care, nursing home administration, and senior care management. This leadership role requires a proactive approach to ensuring quality resident care, compliance with health regulations, and efficient facility management. The Assisted Living Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for residents, staff, and families, fostering a compassionate environment that promotes independence, dignity, and well-being. Responsibilities Lead and supervise care facility teams, including nursing staff, caregivers, and administrative personnel, to ensure high standards of resident care and operational efficiency. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans that address residents' specific needs related to Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and disability services. Ensure compliance with all long-term care regulations, health policy standards, and safety protocols to maintain licensure and accreditation. Oversee medication administration processes in accordance with healthcare regulations and best practices to ensure resident safety. Manage the facility's financial operations including budgeting, financial management, and healthcare financial planning to optimize resource allocation. Maintain accurate documentation using Microsoft Office tools for resident records, care plans, and regulatory reports. Foster a positive environment by managing staff schedules, supervising team performance, and providing leadership in healthcare delivery. Coordinate with external agencies for home & community care services and disability support programs to enhance resident quality of life. Promote a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices in assisted living operations and resident engagement strategies. Requirements Proven experience in nursing home administration or assisted living management with a focus on senior living facilities. Extensive knowledge of long-term care regulations, dementia care practices, and health policy compliance. Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in healthcare or residential care settings. Strong understanding of healthcare financial management including budgeting and financial acumen. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring specialized memory or Alzheimer's care. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes. Background in nursing or nursing leadership is highly desirable; relevant certifications or licensure preferred. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with residents' families, staff members, healthcare providers, and regulatory agencies.
