Oversees admission and care of residents, staff hiring, billing and finances, compliance with regulatory requirements and building maintenance. Maintains professional licensing requirements. Manages staff, recordkeeping, billing, finances, and other administrative work for a home health care program, where aides assist clients with personal, household and some health-related services in their homes.
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nursing Home Administrator to lead the daily operations of our long-term and skilled nursing facility at Haralson Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, located in the heart of historic Bremen, Georgia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest degree of quality care is provided to our residents while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Responsibilities:
Plan daily operations of the long-term and skilled nursing facility Comply with Residents' Rights and facility policies and procedures Coordinate medical care for patients Strive to improve efficiency in the delivery of healthcare services to patients Assist in the recruitment and selection of competent department directors, supervisors, consultants, and other assisting personnel Train new hires on facility duties and procedures Create and coordinate work schedules for employees Review facility's policies and procedures periodically, at least annually, and make changes as necessary to assure continued compliance with current regulations Assure that residents' rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property, and civil rights, including the right to wage complaints, are well established and maintained at all times Manage the nursing home budget Keep patient records for all residents Make daily routine inspections of the facility to assure that established policies and procedures are being implemented and followed Maintain a good public relations program that serves the best interest of the facility and community alike
Requirements:
Current/active Georgia Nursing Home Administrator license A Bachelor's Degree in Public Health Administration or Business Administration or health-related degree is preferred Minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisor role at a skilled nursing facility is required Must be knowledgeable of reimbursement regulations and nursing practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to nursing facility administration Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances permit such action Must be able to read and interpret financial records, reports, etc.
