Job Description

Daily Operations Management :
Oversee the daily functioning of the nursing home, ensuring that it runs smoothly and efficiently.
Staff Supervision :
Manage, mentor, and supervise staff members, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
Regulatory Compliance :
Ensure that the facility complies with all federal, state, and local healthcare laws and regulations.
Financial Management :
Develop and manage budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure financial objectives are met.
Resident Care Coordination :
Communicate with residents and their families regarding healthcare needs and concerns, ensuring a high standard of care is maintained.
Policy Development :
Create and implement policies and procedures to enhance the quality of care and operational efficiency.
Crisis Management :
Prepare for and respond to emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents and staff.
Qualifications Education :
A Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field is typically required; many administrators hold a Master's degree in Health Administration (MHA) or Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on healthcare management.
Licensure :
State licensure as a nursing home administrator is required, which may involve passing a national exam and meeting continuing education requirements.
Experience :
Previous experience in healthcare management, particularly in long-term care settings, is often preferred.
Skills Required Leadership :
Strong leadership skills to effectively manage staff and foster a positive work environment.
Communication :
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
