Are you a senior living leader who knows how to run great operations — and fill your building? We're looking for a dynamic, hands-on Executive Director who can balance the heart of exceptional resident care with the drive of a true sales-and-growth mindset. If you thrive on building relationships — with residents, families, referral partners, and your team — and you get energized watching a census grow because of the culture you built, this is your next role. This isn't just an operations job. It's a leadership opportunity for someone who sees themselves as both the CEO of their community and its most passionate advocate in the market.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Community Leadership & Operations Lead all aspects of the community's daily operations — staffing, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and overall performance. Build and mentor a high-performing team, providing training on best practices in senior care, medication administration, and resident engagement. Maintain accurate records related to resident care, staff performance, and facility operations, and manage budgets effectively without compromising quality. Resident Care & Quality of Life Develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring every resident's needs are met with compassion and professionalism. Champion a supportive, engaging environment for residents with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's, dementia, and other memory-related conditions. Oversee medication administration and ensure all health-related protocols are followed accurately. Collaborate closely with families and healthcare professionals to coordinate care and resolve concerns proactively. Promote meaningful community life through activities and programming that drive real social engagement. Sales, Census Growth & Community Reputation Own the sales funnel for your community — tours, inquiries, move-ins, and conversion — with a genuine hunger to grow occupancy. Build and nurture referral relationships with hospitals, physicians, discharge planners, and other professional partners in your market. Represent the community at networking events, local business functions, and industry associations to build brand awareness and pipeline. Partner with marketing to execute local outreach strategies, events, and campaigns that generate qualified leads. Deliver compelling, confident tours that convert prospective families into residents — because you believe in what your team has built. Track and report on sales metrics, working with leadership to hit and exceed occupancy goals.
WHAT YOU BRING
Proven leadership experience in assisted living, memory care, or long-term care; nursing home experience is a plus. Demonstrated sales or business development experience — census growth, referral development, tour conversion, or a comparable track record of driving results through relationships. Background working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in memory care settings. A track record of building and leading strong teams, with the ability to coach, train, and hold people accountable. Solid financial acumen — you know how to run a budget without losing sight of care quality. Working knowledge of care planning for dementia and other senior care needs, including medication administration protocols. Sharp communication skills — equally comfortable with a grieving family member, a state surveyor, or a referral partner over coffee. A genuine, contagious passion for improving seniors' lives — and the drive to bring more of them through your doors.
WHY THIS ROLE
This is a chance to lead with real autonomy, build a community's reputation in your market, and see the direct results of your leadership — in resident satisfaction, staff retention, and a growing census. You'll be supported by a team that values both operational excellence and bold, relationship-driven growth. If you're ready to lead a community that residents are proud to call home — and that families are proud to recommend — we want to talk to you.
