Job Description

Position Summary OceanBlu HomeCare LLC is seeking an experienced Assisted Living Manager to provide regulatory oversight and operational support for a licensed 4-resident assisted living program in Gambrills, Maryland. This is not a full-time position . The Assisted Living Manager will provide ongoing oversight through scheduled site visits, consultation with the owner, staff supervision, and compliance monitoring in accordance with Maryland assisted living regulations. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Owner/Administrator, caregivers, and Delegating Registered Nurse to ensure residents receive quality care in a safe, compliant, and person-centered environment. Primary Responsibilities The Assisted Living Manager shall: Provide overall oversight of the assisted living program. Ensure compliance with COMAR regulations and OHCQ licensing requirements. Conduct one scheduled on-site visit per week (typically 2-4 hours). Be available by telephone during normal business hours for staff consultation. Make additional visits as needed for: New resident admissions Resident assessments Care plan reviews Incident investigations Regulatory inspections Significant changes in resident condition Review resident records and documentation for regulatory compliance. Supervise and mentor caregivers. Ensure staff training requirements remain current. Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities. Coordinate with the Delegating Registered Nurse and healthcare providers. Assist with preparation for OHCQ surveys and inspections. Review emergency preparedness procedures and safety practices. Maintain documentation of all management visits and recommendations.
Required Qualifications Applicants must possess:
Minimum two (2) years of healthcare experience in assisted living, nursing home, home health, hospital, or long-term care. Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience. Thorough knowledge of Maryland Assisted Living regulations. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to provide consultation and oversight independently.
Required Documentation Applicants must submit:
Valid government-issued Photo ID. Current Tuberculosis (TB) screening/test results.
Proof of immunity to:
Measles Mumps Rubella Varicella Current physician's statement clearing the applicant to work. Current CPR Certification. Current First Aid Certification. Current Criminal Background Check. Professional resume demonstrating healthcare experience. Results of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) Exclusion List search showing the applicant is not excluded from participating in federally funded healthcare programs. Maryland-Specific Requirements Applicants must also provide: Proof of completion of the Maryland 80-Hour Assisted Living Manager Training Course . If the course was completed more than one year ago, documentation of updated training covering: Fire and Life Safety Infection Control Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Response Basic Food Safety Cognitive Impairment and Dementia Care Current licensure by the Maryland Board of Long-Term Care Administrators , if required under applicable Maryland law. Schedule Expectations This position is designed for a small assisted living program and generally includes: One scheduled on-site visit per week (approximately 2-4 hours). Telephone availability for consultation and guidance. Additional visits as needed for admissions, resident care reviews, emergencies, incidents, licensing surveys, or regulatory matters. The schedule is flexible and coordinated with the Owner/Administrator.
Pay:
$20.00 - $29.34 per hour
