Full-Time | Monday-Friday + Shared On-Call & Weekend Responsibilities To Stand Out Email Tom Lecy at tom.lecy@hhcare.net with your resume and tell us: The senior living communities you've led. Your experience improving occupancy, retention, financial performance, or survey outcomes . One problem you identified and personally took ownership of fixing. What Would You Do Differently If You Were Actually Given the Room to Lead? You've been handed the occupancy goal. The labor budget. The turnover numbers. The survey results. And you're expected to own all of them. But in some organizations, nearly every meaningful decision still has to travel through multiple layers of approval. Responsibility without authority isn't leadership. At Nagel Assisted Living in Waconia, we're looking for an experienced Minnesota LALD who wants to take ownership of a community and have a meaningful voice in how it operates. Bring us your experience, ideas, and everything you've learned from leading senior living communities. Then help us make Nagel better. Why Consider Nagel? $120,000-$150,000 annual compensation. Lead an established Assisted Living and Memory Care community. Significant influence over operations, culture, staffing, occupancy, and financial performance . Direct access to ownership and executive leadership. Opportunity to build and develop your leadership team. Ability to identify problems and help implement solutions. Family-owned Minnesota organization with fewer corporate layers. Long-term professional and leadership growth. Run It Like It's Yours We're looking for someone who thinks beyond today's schedule. When occupancy is down, you want to understand why. When turnover increases, you dig into what's driving it. When labor is high, you find the right operational solution. When families have concerns, you get involved. And when a department is struggling, you develop the leader responsible for it. You'll have ownership across:
Occupancy:
Drive community growth and create an exceptional experience for prospective residents and families.
People:
Recruit, retain, coach, and develop strong department leaders and employees.
Operations:
Oversee budgets, labor, staffing, expenses, and overall community performance.
Resident Experience:
Build trust with residents and families and ensure concerns are addressed.
Compliance:
Maintain ongoing survey readiness and compliance with Minnesota Assisted Living regulations . Build Leaders, Not Followers The best Community Director isn't the person making every decision. It's the person who builds a team capable of making good ones. You'll establish expectations, review results, coach department leaders, recognize strong performance, and address problems directly. Your goal is to create a community that performs because people understand what they own and are accountable for delivering it. What We're Looking For Active Minnesota Licensed Assisted Living Director (LALD) license. Executive Director, Housing Director, Administrator, Community Director, or comparable senior living leadership experience. Strong Assisted Living and/or Memory Care experience. Knowledge of Minnesota Assisted Living regulations and state survey processes . Experience managing occupancy, budgets, labor, staffing, and financial performance. Demonstrated ability to develop and hold department leaders accountable. Strong resident and family relationship skills. Ability to identify operational problems and implement sustainable solutions. We Don't Need Someone to Keep the Seat Warm. We want someone who will walk into Nagel and ask: Where can we be better? Then build a plan to get there. At $120,000-$150,000 , we're looking for an experienced LALD who's ready to be accountable for results and wants an organization willing to listen to how they believe those results can be achieved. If you're an Executive Director, Housing Director, Administrator, or senior living leader with an active Minnesota LALD license and you're ready for greater ownership over the community you lead, we'd like to talk.
