The Resident Care Director (RCD) will manage and support residents with their daily activities, in addition to various responsibilities aimed at maintaining their well-being. Supervision & Reporting Supports the Executive Director in overseeing facility staff, including caregivers, dietary, activity, and support staff. Assumes leadership in the Executive Director's absence. Reports directly to the Executive Director. Position Overview Manages daily operations, ensuring quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction. Leads staff, fosters teamwork, and upholds facility policies and values. Key Responsibilities Resident Care & Customer Service Ensure residents' safety, well-being, and high-quality care. Address concerns and maintain open communication with residents, families, and staff. Participate in care conferences and update service plans as needed. Support direct care when necessary. Operations & Compliance Implement facility policies and procedures. Assist in budget management and marketing efforts. Prepare reports and maintain resident records. Participate in weekly leadership meetings and assume on-call duties. Monitor resident health status and medication records. Staff Management & Training Assist in hiring, training, and evaluating staff. Promote teamwork, employee satisfaction, and professional development. Handle scheduling and address employee concerns. Ensure compliance with training and safety regulations. Financial & Facility Oversight Assist with move-ins and financial transactions. Maintain supply inventory and purchase orders. Communicate major concerns, such as legal, financial, or maintenance issues, to ownership. Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs). Follow proper body mechanics and safety procedures when assisting residents. Qualifications Experience in healthcare or assisted living management. Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills. Compassion for residents and commitment to quality care. Training & Compliance Ongoing management training and compliance with federal/state regulations. Completion of required certifications (OSHA, First Aid, Medication Management, etc.).
