Position Summary:
As the Assistant Wellness Director, you'll collaborate closely with our Wellness Director and Executive Director. Your mission? Empower residents to thrive by maximizing their functional abilities and creating a safe environment.
Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
Assist in day-to-day health and wellness operations. Implement protocols for resident safety and quality of life. Coordinate with other team members to provide a holistic care experience.
Resident Support:
Engage with residents, understanding their unique needs. Provide guidance on health-related matters. Foster a sense of community and well-being.
Education and Training:
Stay informed about gerontology trends and best practices. Educate staff and residents on health-related topics. Promote preventive care and healthy lifestyles.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Healthcare Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in a healthcare or service-related setting. Passion for improving seniors' lives.
Knowledge Base:
Understanding of physiological and psychological aspects related to gerontology. Ability to apply evidence-based practices.
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
Experience with
Seniors Education and Requirements:
Registered Nursing License Must pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, TB test, and physical.
Physical and Mental Demands:
Ability to regularly stand, talk, bend, stretch, pull or push, and lift items. Assist residents with daily activities (bathing, dressing, dining, exercising, etc.). Effective communication with residents, families, and co-workers. Specific vision abilities required (close vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment).
