Dementia Care Director Trinity Glen | Winston-Salem, NC Join Our Team Lutheran Services Carolinas is seeking a dedicated Dementia Care Director to join our Trinity Glen community in Winston-Salem, NC. This is a meaningful opportunity to lead a dementia care program within a senior living environment committed to compassion, dignity, and person-centered care.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends required
Compensation:
based on experience Position Overview As the Dementia Care Director, you will oversee all aspects of Trinity Glen's Dementia Care Program. This leadership role helps ensure residents receive high-quality care that supports their physical, emotional, and social well-being while also providing guidance and support to their families. Key Responsibilities Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Dementia Care Program, including activities and compliance with applicable state regulations. Oversee dementia care education and training for staff. Serve as a key resource and support contact for residents and their families. Stay current with best practices and standards in dementia-specific care. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education and experience:
Degree in a mental health or social services field with at least three years of experience in a senior living setting. Dementia care expertise is required.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of dementia care, flexibility, effective written and verbal communication, sound judgment, and problem-solving skills. The ability to work well under pressure and relate well to residents is essential.
Physical requirements:
Frequent walking and standing; ability to stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors as needed.
