We are seeking a driven and hands-on Nursing Home Administrator in Training (AIT) to join the leadership team of our skilled nursing facility! The AIT will be an active member of facility leadership, working alongside the leadership team while taking ownership of key operational responsibilities and participating in the day-to-day management of the facility. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated healthcare professional who is pursuing Nursing Home Administrator licensure and is ready to step into a meaningful leadership role while completing the requirements necessary to become a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA). Key Responsibilities Assist with the overall day-to-day operations of the skilled nursing facility Work closely with department leaders to ensure efficient facility operations Provide leadership, direction, and support to department heads and facility staff Assist with staffing, employee performance, retention, and accountability Participate in recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding initiatives Help maintain compliance with federal, state, and local long-term care regulations Participate in survey preparation, regulatory visits, plans of correction, and ongoing compliance efforts Monitor facility performance, operational metrics, and quality improvement initiatives Assist with census development, admissions, referrals, and community relationships Support budget management, expense control, labor management, and other financial objectives Address resident and family concerns and help ensure a high level of resident satisfaction Participate in leadership meetings, interdisciplinary meetings, and quality assurance initiatives Work collaboratively with Nursing, Human Resources, Admissions, Dietary, Environmental Services, Social Services, and other departments Help establish and maintain a positive facility culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and quality care Step in to address operational challenges and ensure issues are followed through to resolution Assume increasing operational responsibility as knowledge and experience develop Qualifications Bachelor's degree or other education meeting applicable Nebraska Nursing Home Administrator licensure requirements Currently pursuing or eligible to pursue Nursing Home Administrator licensure in Nebraska Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, senior living, healthcare operations, or healthcare leadership strongly preferred Strong leadership and decision-making abilities Ability to hold teams accountable while maintaining a positive and supportive work environment Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Understanding of healthcare operations and regulatory compliance preferred Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working directly with residents, families, employees, and facility leadership Motivated to develop into a successful Licensed Nursing Home Administrator What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who wants to lead, not simply observe .
