Position Summary:
A Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) is responsible for the overall leadership and daily operations of a skilled nursing or long-term care facility. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality resident care while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The administrator oversees clinical and non-clinical departments, manages financial performance, ensures regulatory compliance, and fosters a safe, resident-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the nursing home or long-term care facility. Ensure compliance with CMS, state, federal, and local regulations. Lead, supervise, and support department managers and facility staff. Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives. Manage facility budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation. Ensure appropriate staffing levels, recruitment, retention, and employee development. Monitor resident care quality, safety, and satisfaction. Coordinate with physicians, nursing leadership, therapists, and other healthcare professionals. Prepare for and manage state surveys, inspections, and accreditation activities. Address resident and family concerns while promoting excellent customer service.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Active Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) License in the applicable state. Minimum 2-5 years of leadership or administrative experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF), long-term care (LTC), or healthcare setting.
