Job Description

Company Overview Hillside Manor Rehabilitation & Extended Care is a well-established facility serving the greater Queens community and surrounding boroughs of New York City since 1975. We are committed to providing compassionate, respectful, and dignified care to our residents. Overview We are seeking a dedicated Staffing Coordinator specializing in nursing home operations to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in healthcare staffing. This role involves coordinating staffing schedules. The Staffing Coordinator will play a vital role in building effective relationships with staff and management to support our facility's staffing needs. This position works closely with the Director of Nursing, nursing supervisor, Human Resources, Payroll and facility management.
Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain and update nursing staff schedules based on facility staffing needs. Coordinate staffing for all shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holiday with internal staff and agency staff. Monitor call-outs, absences, vacations, and other staffing changes and arrange coverage as needed. Work closely with the Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, nursing leadership and HR regarding staffing needs. Maintain accurate staffing records and schedules. Compute and submit weekly payroll using Kronos, reviewing missed punches and verifying hours worked.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a nursing home, skilled nursing facility, assisted living, Previous scheduling or staff coordination experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of nursing home staffing operations is highly desirable. Strong computer and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and follow-through. Experience with scheduling software or electronic timekeeping systems preferred.
Pay:
$33.42 - $34.92 per hour Expected hours: 36.25 per week
