This leadership role involves managing daily facility functions, supervising staff, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and delivering exceptional care to residents with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in long-term care, nursing home administration, and managing care teams, with a strong commitment to fostering a safe, supportive environment that promotes residents' well-being and independence. Main Duties Oversee daily operations of the residential care facility, ensuring adherence to OPWDD regulations and state long-term care policies Supervise and support assistants (DSP Staff), including direct oversight of care providers Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans for residents Manage medication administration processes in compliance with healthcare standards and safety protocols Ensure the facility maintains high standards of health and safety through regular inspections, staff training, and policy updates Coordinate with healthcare professionals to facilitate resident assessments, health monitoring, and emergency response procedures Oversee financial management tasks such as budgeting, billing, and resource allocation using healthcare financial management principles Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care, staffing schedules, incident reports, and regulatory compliance using Microsoft Office tools Foster a positive environment that promotes resident engagement, dignity, and independence while supporting their unique needs Lead efforts in staff training related to disability services, dementia care techniques, and best practices in senior living environments
Other Duties/Expectations:
1. Participate in the selection and placement of Core Members. 2. Participate in bi-weekly House Coordinator Meetings where all issues impacting homes are discussed. 3. Ensure that the house follows all state (i.e. OPWDD, fire safety, etc.) and federal regulations (i.e. HIPAA). 4. Train or make sure all assistants are properly trained. 5. Promote the social, vocational, educational, and psychological growth of core members. This includes helping draft and implement core members': Individualized Plan of Protection (IPOPS) used as the starting point for the Staff Action Plan, it outlines individual-specific safeguards staff need to implement to ensure the core members health and safety. Life Plan identifies the goals of the core member. Written by Care Coordinators with input from the care team with six month and yearly review; it examines home life, likes and dislikes, the core member's narrative and goals for each program, safeguards for each person, and approved programs. Staff Action Plan describes what the assistants will do to help the core member reach the goals identified in the individual's Life Plan. Behavioral Support Plan outlines strategies to help a person with challenging behaviors learn more positive ways to meet their needs. 6. Implement the Plan of Nursing Services (PONS) and ensure medical records are updated. 7. Going deeper by supporting spiritual and community growth by: making sure each evening, prayer or holding the sacred space is observed; seeking weekly to get core members to the houses of worship of their choice; Attending Tuesday Prayer, monthly potluck dinners, Day of Reflection, Easter and Advent Celebrations; Celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, and fundraising events. 8. Supervise all assistants sharing time in the residence. This includes the coordination of "time-off," providing accompaniment to assistants, delegating duties and evaluating job performance. 9. Lead regular team meetings (assistants) and house meetings (assistant and core members) as part of an effective listening, communication and team building system. 10. Ensure that Core Members receive nutritious meals and comply with all diet instructions from doctors. 11. Be willing to provide Personal Care when needed, as well as be trained in Med Administration and van training. Will fill in for assistants should the need arise. 12. Oversee residential and individual record keeping, particularly note writing for billing. 13.
Maintain accurate financial records:
administration of the home checking account; oversight of the home spending on food and household supplies; oversight to ensure that all receipts for purchases are secured and turned into the office; oversight of check requests from assistants; ensuring that clothing allowances are spent in a timely fashion; oversight of the Personal Allowance expenses and ensure that core member banking is conducted in a timely fashion. 14.

Reporting repairs in a timely manner Keeping the house tidy, clean, and appealing appearance Elimination of features which detract from neighborhood image Ensure that all necessary safety and security precautions are implemented 15.
