This key leadership role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of assisted living operations while ensuring the delivery of compassionate, high-quality care in compliance with all regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior care management, nursing home operations, and dementia and memory care services. As the leader of the community, the Executive Director will foster a safe, welcoming environment where residents can thrive and staff are empowered to provide exceptional service. Duties Provide strategic leadership and oversee the daily operations of the assisted living community, including resident care, staffing, and facility management. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans that meet residents' needs, including specialized Alzheimer's and dementia care services. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing assisted living, long-term care, and nursing home operations. Lead staff recruitment, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and professional development to build and maintain a strong, resident-focused team. Manage community budgets, financial planning, resource allocation, and cost-control measures to support operational efficiency and sustainability. Maintain strong relationships with residents, families, healthcare providers, and community partners to promote open communication and coordinated care. Oversee medication administration practices and ensure adherence to all safety and health protocols. Direct quality assurance initiatives through regular audits, prompt corrective actions, and continuous process improvement. Promote a positive community culture centered on dignity, respect, independence, and quality of life for residents. Coordinate with social workers, healthcare professionals, and community organizations to enhance resident engagement and social programming. Support marketing and sales efforts to maintain community occupancy and strengthen community outreach. Qualifications Proven experience in assisted living management or nursing home administration, with a strong focus on senior care services. Extensive knowledge of assisted living operations, including Alzheimer's care, memory care programming, and dementia-related services. Demonstrated leadership experience supervising multidisciplinary teams within long-term care, assisted living, or home and community-based care settings. Strong understanding of regulatory compliance standards related to assisted living facilities and healthcare operations. Excellent financial management skills, including budgeting, operational planning, and resource allocation. Background in nursing, healthcare administration, or social work preferred; RN or LPN licensure is a plus. Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety standards for vulnerable populations. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and healthcare partners.
