What You'll Do As our Resident Care Director , you'll be the clinical leader of our community and an important resource for residents, families, and team members. ❤️ Lead With Compassion Make resident and family satisfaction a priority Promote a culture where residents are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families Advocate for residents and ensure their individual needs and preferences are respected Help create a warm, welcoming, homelike environment ‍ ️ Lead the Clinical Care Team Oversee resident care and ensure services are provided according to individual needs Ensure assessments, service plans, medication management, infection control, and other clinical processes are completed appropriately Monitor residents for changes in physical or emotional condition Communicate significant changes with families, physicians, leadership, and other appropriate individuals Lead the care team in achieving resident-centered outcomes Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations Build a Great Team Recruit, interview, hire, train, coach, and develop care team members Create a culture of accountability, teamwork, and compassion Provide orientation and ongoing training to direct care staff Mentor caregivers and help them grow their skills Recognize team members for great work Partner with leadership to address staffing needs and maintain appropriate coverage Manage the Department Develop and maintain department schedules Ensure appropriate staffing levels Manage the nursing department budget Monitor department performance and identify opportunities for improvement Establish goals and track outcomes Partner with the Executive Director and other department leaders to support the success of the community Be a Resource for Residents & Families You will become a trusted resource for residents and their families by: Answering questions and addressing concerns Helping families understand their loved one's care Participating in care planning Coordinating with healthcare providers and outside resources Supporting referrals and maintaining strong relationships within the community Helping families feel confident that their loved one is receiving exceptional care What Makes You a Great Fit? What We're Looking For Current, valid LPN or RN license in Pennsylvania , in good standing 3-5 years of full-time or equivalent clinical experience preferred/required per position requirements Previous leadership, supervisory, assisted living, memory care, long-term care, or senior living experience is a plus High school diploma or GED Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, physicians, caregivers, and leadership Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English Commitment to resident-centered care and regulatory compliance Why Viva Senior Living?
