The Opportunity Are you a driven, high-potential professional looking to earn your Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) license and build a long-term executive career in long-term care? As an Administrator in Training (AIT) at Asbury Heights, you will complete a structured, state-approved training program designed specifically to prepare you for NHA licensure. Under the direct mentorship of our Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and regional operational executives from Oakdale Seniors Alliance, you will gain hands-on operational, clinical, and financial experience across every department in our skilled nursing facility—preparing you to pass the NHA board exams and lead a facility of your own.
Key Program Focus Areas Comprehensive SNF Operations:
Rotate through every key functional area of skilled nursing, including Nursing, Social Services, MDS/Reimbursement, Dining, Environmental Services, Finance, and Admissions.
PA DOH & CMS
Regulatory Mastery:
Master Pennsylvania Department of Health and CMS regulations, learning how to maintain continuous survey readiness, direct quality assurance (QAPI) initiatives, and ensure high clinical standards.
Financial & Census Management:
Work directly alongside leadership on facility budgeting, P&L statements, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement models, and strategic census development.
Human Resources & Staff Engagement:
Shadow executive management in recruitment, staff retention strategies, labor relations, and building a supportive workplace culture.
Licensure Preparation:
Fulfill all required practical training hours and learning domains mandated by the Pennsylvania State Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators to sit for the NAB and State Board exams.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university (degree in Health Administration, Healthcare Management, Business, or related field is highly preferred).
PA Board Eligibility:
Must meet all educational and prerequisite requirements set by the Pennsylvania State Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators to register as an AIT.
Healthcare Experience:
1-3 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), post-acute rehab, or long-term care setting is strongly preferred.
Leadership Profile:
Strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, high emotional intelligence, and excellent written and verbal communication.
