Job Description

This a Non Medical Home Care Agency with mostly Medicaid clients. We have been in operation for 20 years in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and we recently opened office in Corpus Christi. Extensive training will be provided, but experience in the position or at least supervisory experience strongly preferred. Can do computer and paper work and phone calls at home, but will need to drive to client homes for assessments, and come to the office as needed for interviews and meetings. Job involves the following
Activities:
1) Meeting with clients and interviewing caregivers 2) Scheduling caregivers and clients, monitoring ongoing service and solving any issues 3) Documenting everything on the computer 4) Marketing 5) On occasion may have to fill in for a caregiver Successful candidate must: Be a hard worker and dedicated. This is not a strictly 9-5, 40 hour/week job; things crop up and must be handled, and documentation must be done. Will need to work in the evenings and some on the weekends. However, after hours work is mostly computer work that can be done at home. Be organized, detail oriented, able to follow procedures and do documentation thoroughly and accurately. We have many state requirements that we have to follow to the letter; there is no room for error. Be a people person - must enjoy dealing with people, both clients and employees. Be willing to stay with us long term. It takes a long time for us to train somebody and we hope that the person will stay and become part of our family. If you are looking for a temporary job while you look for something better, please keep looking. Be physically capable of the job. Many days you will be a road warrior, driving from appointment to appointment and the office, rolling a briefcase. You may also have to fill in for a caregiver, doing housekeeping and personal care. However, these occasions will be rare; if hands on caregiving is what you really want to do, this not the job for you Accept instruction in our policies and procedures; know it alls are not welcome Be able to pass background and reference check Have own car and good driving record In return for all this, you will get a chance to work in a job that directly helps people more than any other; and work with the nicest bunch of people you will find anywhere!
