In this vital role, you will oversee the planning, implementation, and supervision of all dietary operations, ensuring residents receive nutritious, balanced meals tailored to their individual health needs. Duties Develop and oversee comprehensive care plans that incorporate dietary needs, medical conditions, and personal preferences for residents. Supervise the dietary department staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations to ensure a motivated and competent team. Coordinate with healthcare professionals to conduct patient assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and monitor progress related to nutritional status. Manage food preparation processes, including menu planning that aligns with dietary guidelines and budget constraints while ensuring variety and appeal. Conduct regular quality assurance checks on food safety practices, sanitation standards, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Lead efforts in health coaching by educating residents on nutrition choices that support their overall well-being and recovery goals. Monitor departmental budgets, control costs effectively, and optimize resource allocation without compromising quality. Supervise the preparation of detailed reports on dietary services performance, resident satisfaction, and compliance audits. Qualifications Proven management experience within a dietary department or healthcare setting with supervisory responsibilities. Extensive knowledge of skilled and long term care nutritional requirements, physiology, dietetics principles, and care plans development. Hands-on experience with patient assessment techniques, diagnostic evaluation processes related to nutrition status, and tube feeding procedures. Strong background in managing budgets, food safety protocols, and regulatory compliance standards. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment. Familiarity with health coaching strategies to promote healthy eating habits among residents. Prior experience in dietary department operations within assisted living or long-term care facilities is highly preferred.
