Executive Director Location:
Milwaukee, WI Area Govig Healthcare Group, a premier search firm, has partnered with a SNF in the Milwaukee area looking for a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator / Executive Director to lead through a significant operational and cultural rebuild. This is not a maintenance role or a plug-and-play building. The organization is looking for a strong operator who genuinely enjoys walking into a challenging environment, identifying what is not working, and rebuilding systems, processes, and culture the right way. The Opportunity The incoming Administrator will have the opportunity to take ownership of a building that needs meaningful operational improvement. Leadership is looking for someone who can assess the facility with fresh eyes, challenge existing processes, and establish stronger systems across the organization.
Key priorities will include:
Rebuilding operational systems, policies, and processes Strengthening survey readiness and regulatory compliance Improving department-head accountability Building a stronger, more collaborative staff culture Improving recruiting, retention, and overall staffing stability Reducing reliance on agency staffing Stabilizing census and overall facility operations Partnering closely with senior organizational leadership What They Are Looking For The ideal candidate is a seasoned SNF operator with strong business and operational instincts . While clinical knowledge and an understanding of regulations are important, this organization is specifically looking for an Administrator who knows how to lead the entire business rather than becoming buried in day-to-day clinical functions.
The right person will bring:
Current or eligible Wisconsin LNHA licensure Strong skilled nursing leadership experience Turnaround, rebuild, or troubled-building experience Strong survey and regulatory knowledge Financial and operational business acumen Experience identifying broken or outdated systems and improving them Strong staff-relations and culture-building skills Ability to hold department heads accountable while maintaining staff trust A collaborative leadership style Comfort operating in an environment with significant change and ambiguity Leadership Style Culture is an important part of this search. The organization is not looking for a drill-sergeant or fear-based leadership style. They want someone who will be visible, communicate with staff, earn trust, create accountability, and build a team that wants to work together toward improving the facility. Why This Role This is an opportunity for an Administrator who likes fixing things. The building has real challenges, but leadership recognizes those challenges and is committed to making the changes necessary to improve operations. The incoming Administrator will have the ability to make a meaningful impact rather than simply inherit an established way of doing things.
Pay:
Up to $180,000.00 per year
