The instructor will prepare students for employment as nursing assistants by providing classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction aligned with Florida Board of Nursing requirements and industry standards. This position is ideal for experienced nurses who are passionate about workforce development and helping students launch careers in healthcare. Duties Deliver engaging classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction for CNA students. Develop and implement lesson plans that support course learning outcomes. Demonstrate nursing assistant skills and supervise hands-on practice. Evaluate student performance through assignments, skills checkoffs, exams, and clinical assessments. Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and course records. Ensure compliance with college policies, clinical site requirements, and state regulations. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Prepare students for the Florida CNA competency examination. Support and monitor students during clinicals. Experience Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience. At least one (1) year of experience providing care in a long-term care facility, skilled nursing facility, hospital, or related healthcare setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to teach adult learners in both classroom and clinical environments. Preferred Qualifications Previous teaching, training, or precepting experience. Experience teaching CNA, PCT, or allied health programs. Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field. Experience with competency-based education and workforce training programs. Schedule Flexible weekday, evening, and/or weekend opportunities. Course schedules vary based on student enrollment and program needs.
