Nursing Instructor

Description:

The position is a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track appointment with opportunity for summer assignment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: teaching assigned theory and clinical courses utilizing active learning strategies and current educational technology; develop clinical experiences for students; serve as liaison between clinical instructors, agency staff, and students; supervise clinical practicum; evaluate and counsel students; evaluate clinical aspects of program; and participate in assessment activities and online teaching. Local travel to healthcare and other related sites is required.

Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Nursing; an active, unencumbered Illinois and Indiana RN license, and two years of clinical experience required; teaching experience preferred. Applicants should be familiar with and able to use computer-assisted, multi-media instruction, and innovative teaching techniques in the classroom. Must have excellent oral, written and verbal communication skills; must be comfortable working with a diverse population; and have the ability to make decisions in accordance with policies, rules and regulations.
