Description The Clinical Nursing Instructor provides clinical supervision and instruction to undergraduate pre-licensure nursing students, promoting the development of clinical judgment and professional behaviors aligned with course objectives, program outcomes, and evidence-based practice standards. Clinical instructors collaborate with course faculty and are supported by the Asst. Director of Experiential Education/Clinical Coordinator, Clinical Placement Coordinator (Administrative) and Faculty Mentors. Benefits Overview

For more information about our outstanding benefits, please visit: UNE Benefits Overview Responsibilities Supervise and instruct students (4-8 per group depending on site) during assigned clinical rotations. Rotations are 8-10 hours shifts depending on location.
Facilitate student learning in acute care (medical-surgical), specialty (pediatrics, maternity, mental health), and/or skilled nursing settings
Assign patient experiences that align with course objectives and clinical requirements
Plan and lead pre-brief and post-clinical conferences
Provide ongoing formative feedback to support student development
Complete midterm and final clinical evaluations in collaboration with course faculty Qualifications BSN required (MSN preferred)
Minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience
Current Maine RN license
Recent clinical experience in acute care and/or skilled nursing (within the past 5 years)
Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers certification (or by the time of clinical rotation start date).
Ability to meet clinical site health, vaccination, and regulatory requirements
Ability to meet physical and functional role expectations (e.g., lifting up to 50 lbs as per program Technical Standards).
