Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate with clinicians at the clinical site to make student assignments Reinforce on campus nursing education in the clinical setting, such as nursing skills and critical thinking. Ensure effective evaluations of student performance in the clinical setting Grade student clinical assignments Assist students in applying knowledge to clinical practice Ability to work effectively with diverse faculty, staff, and student body Uphold the mission of the college in practice Promote evidence-based practice. Maintain current knowledge of the nursing curriculum, policies, and requirements. Maintain clinical competence and knowledge in area of expertise. Function with professional accountability in clinical settings. Create a clinical climate that promotes positive student learning. Serves as a role model for professional nursing for students Ensure the delivery of a high level of professional nursing care to patients and clients. Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with Maria College nursing department and clinical partner staff, and others in the clinical setting. Support the mission of Maria College and represents this in the delivery of compassionate care.

Qualifications:

Current unencumbered NYS Nursing License Clinical competence and knowledge in area of expertise. Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university

Salary:
