Cambridge Business Institute is a career school located in Hempstead, New York, offering career-focused healthcare training programs, including Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) and Home Health Aide (HHA) programs, as well as other healthcare and clinical training programs. We are seeking qualified and motivated healthcare professionals to join our team. The instructor will be responsible for providing classroom and clinical instruction, supervising students, and ensuring that students develop the knowledge and skills necessary to provide safe and competent patient care.

TEACHING HOURS

Part time: In-Person Available 4 days a week

Hours:

9:00 AM-3:30PM/6 hours a day, 24 hours a week

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for classroom instruction and supervision in their designated subject areas. Responsibilities Teach HHA and CNA Program lecture and clinical courses in a manner consistent with the established curriculum. Supervise students in clinical experiences. Evaluate and assess mastery of knowledge and skills through administering and grading examinations, assignments, skills assessments, and clinical evaluation. Ensure rules and/or policies governing student conduct and standards of behavior are maintained in all academic settings. Require satisfactory performance of all critical knowledge and skills to ensure students are competent before performing patient care activities. Prepare students to sit for the NYS Nurse Aid Exam is both computer-based and clinical-based.

Job Requirements:

HHA:

Worked for at least 2 years as an RN in a home care setting.

CNA:

Worked for at least 2 years in a hospital, clinical, or nursing home setting. Teaching experience preferred. Preferred but not required to apply. Please submit a resume for consideration.
