NYS Registered Nurse Home Health Aide Certification Instructor

Overview We are seeking a dedicated English speaking or bilingual Registered Nurse to join our Home Health Aide and Personal Care Aide teaching institute. Expanding Horizons Institute is looking for a Training Instructor to provide Home Health Aide and Personal Care Aide training. In addition to teaching individuals the skills and knowledge that they need to be successful in the homecare field, you will also perform skills assessments and tests to track their individual progress. As an RN Instructor/ Home Health Aide Educator, your primary role will involve conducting training classes and programs for Home Health Aides and Personal Care Aides. Since you will be instrumental to the success of these individuals, we expect applicants for this role to have significant experience in teaching and verbal communication skills. The lessons will include physical practices such as teaching how to take vital signs and caring for a bedbound patient. 6019 Roosevelt Ave Woodside, NY 11377 Suite 232 Qualifications

• Must be NYS RN Certified
• Teaching License for the state of New York Required. IF you don't have one yet, we can help with the process of getting one as well if needed.
• English is required. (other language speaking applicants such as Spanish may apply)
• Visiting Nurse experience needed
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Must have knowledge of homecare policies and procedures We are currently looking for applicant available to teach morning classes but we do have evening positions available as well.
