LOCATION
Campus The Adjunct (Part-Time) Didactic Nursing Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality didactic (lecture-based) instruction in nursing theory and related content in accordance with the school's mission, curriculum, and academic standards. The instructor fosters a positive learning environment that promotes student engagement, critical thinking, and professional growth to support student success in becoming competent, compassionate nursing professionals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare and deliver engaging, evidence-based didactic instruction in assigned nursing courses.
  • Develop course syllabi, lesson plans, and learning activities aligned with course objectives and accreditation standards.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and technologies to enhance student learning and accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Evaluate and assess student learning through exams, assignments, projects, and other measures; provide timely and constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and course documentation in accordance with institutional policies.
  • Foster a supportive and respectful learning environment that encourages academic integrity and professional behavior.
  • Be available to students for questions, clarifications, and academic support during scheduled office hours or by appointment.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, academic planning, curriculum development, and professional development activities as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with full-time faculty and clinical instructors to ensure consistency and integration of didactic and clinical content.
  • Uphold the policies, mission, and values of the institution and contribute to a culture of excellence in nursing education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution.
  • Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
  • Teaching or academic experience in nursing education preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing theory, best practices, and current healthcare trends.
