Overview Join our dynamic healthcare education team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Instructor and play a vital role in shaping the next generation of nursing professionals! As an LPN Instructor, you will deliver engaging instruction, supervise clinical practice, and ensure compliance with educational standards, all while inspiring students to excel in their nursing careers. Your expertise in patient care, curriculum development, and healthcare technology will directly impact students' success and elevate our institution's reputation for excellence in nursing education. Duties Develop, design, and update comprehensive nursing curricula aligned with accreditation standards and educational regulations. Work closely with the Director of Nursing Opportunity for Advancement with the School Deliver engaging classroom instruction using online platforms such as Blackboard and Learning Management Systems (LMS), incorporating adult education principles and simulation methods. Supervise clinical rotations at teaching hospitals or healthcare facilities, providing hands-on guidance in patient care, care plans, and specialized areas like pediatrics, ICU, primary care, and senior care. Evaluate student performance through documentation review, assessments, and practical demonstrations; provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement. Facilitate learning by integrating medical terminology, healthcare technology, and teaching simulation methods into lessons tailored to students from diverse cultural backgrounds. Ensure compliance with educational policies, accreditation requirements, and healthcare regulations while maintaining accurate records of student progress and clinical documentation. Lead research initiatives or participate in healthcare education projects to enhance curriculum relevance and teaching effectiveness. Experience Proven supervising experience in clinical settings such as hospitals or long-term care facilities, with a focus on acute care, ICU, or pediatric environments. Demonstrated success working with post-secondary students within higher education or college faculty roles; experience with online instruction is highly desirable. Strong background in nursing practice including patient care across various specialties like primary care, senior care, or medical-surgical units; experience in nursing administration or nurse management is advantageous. Familiarity with learning technology platforms such as Canvas or other LMS tools used for online instruction and curriculum delivery. Knowledge of educational compliance standards and regulation requirements relevant to healthcare education programs. Experience supervising or mentoring students during clinical rotations; working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds is preferred. Excellent communication skills combined with a solid understanding of medical terminology, teaching simulation methods, and documentation review processes are necessary for effective instruction and assessment.
