Job Description

Description The College of Nursing at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) seeks a part-time (50% effort) faculty member. The School of Nursing offers the BSN and DNP degrees in nursing and embraces the shared governance model and Boyer's Model of scholarship. This position will be a 12-month, part-time, nontenure-track position. The person must be doctorally prepared in Nursing or a related field.
Responsibilities:
Teach, advise, and chair doctoral projects in the graduate program, focusing on the Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program, but may be asked to support other DNP programs. Engage in scholarly activities. Participate in service to the College of Nursing, the University and/or profession. Assist in monitoring and supporting learner success and collaborate in the process of curriculum development and revision as needed. Qualifications Doctoral preparation in Nursing or related field required. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse. Current certification as an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP). A minimum of two years' experience as a practicing AGACNP. Experience teaching in an academic environment or serving as a preceptor for nursing students/medical residents is strongly preferred.
