TCAT Crump Job Summary The Tennessee College of Applied Technology -Crump is accepting applications for the position of Practical Nursing Associate Instructor. This position will serve multiple campuses and will work with all programs including the daytime and evening/weekend programs. The Practical Nursing Instructor will work under the direction of the Coordinator of Practical Nursing and collaborate closely with Practical Nursing faculty. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high standard of personal and professional ethics and possess a sincere interest in teaching and the nursing profession. A criminal background check is required for the selected applicant. Job Duties Teach full course curriculum; develop course outlines, lesson plans, lectures, and exams for multiple campuses. Supervise student's clinical experiences as scheduled. Provides individual evaluation of each student's progress with counseling and appropriate recommendations when required. Maintains confidential, accurate, and complete student records. Participate in recruitment of students and placement of graduates. Maintains ongoing competency required for RN licensure by participation in continuing education opportunities. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current TN Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum of 3 years' current hospital and/or nursing home experience.
• Previous teaching experience a plus Preferred Qualifications
• 1 years' experience worked as an RN in a Nursing Home Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Use of computer Physical Demands / Working Conditions
• Normal standing, sitting, and walking
• Must be physically able to lift up to 50 pounds, stoop, stand and work, with or without accommodation, to demonstrate and perform all work-based projects in a classroom and clinical health care setting.
• Operating a motor vehicle to travel within the college service area and in other areas as needed.

SALARY:

Commensurate with Tennessee College of Applied Technology salary guidelines
