In Person Position Summary CyberTex Institute of Technology is seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Vocational Nursing Instructor to provide classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction within the Vocational Nursing Program. The instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality education, promoting student success, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and contributing to ongoing program development and improvement. This position requires a strong background in pediatric nursing and experience teaching pediatric nursing concepts, skills, and clinical practice to vocational nursing students. Key Responsibilities Provide didactic, laboratory, and clinical instruction in assigned Vocational Nursing courses. Deliver instruction in pediatric nursing concepts, including growth and development, family-centered care, health promotion, and common pediatric health conditions. Supervise and guide nursing students in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings to ensure safe and effective learning experiences. Supervise and evaluate student performance during pediatric clinical rotations and learning activities. Monitor and document student attendance, academic progress, skills competency, and clinical performance, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Promote a positive, supportive, and student-centered learning environment that fosters critical thinking, professionalism, and clinical competency. Participate in the development, implementation, evaluation, and revision of curriculum, course materials, examinations, and clinical evaluation tools. Incorporate evidence-based pediatric nursing practices into classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction. Ensure compliance with Texas Board of Nursing regulations, institutional policies, and accreditation standards. Assist with student advising, mentoring, remediation, and retention efforts. Collaborate with program leadership in the selection, evaluation, and maintenance of clinical sites and student placements. Participate in faculty meetings, committees, professional development activities, and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Maintain required records, reports, grades, and documentation in accordance with institutional policies. Support accreditation activities, regulatory reporting, and program growth initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas. Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience. Pediatric nursing experience required. Experience teaching pediatric nursing theory, skills laboratory, and/or clinical instruction required. Demonstrated knowledge of pediatric nursing care, child growth and development, health assessment, and family-centered care. Strong knowledge of vocational nursing education standards and Texas Board of Nursing regulations. Demonstrated ability to engage students and facilitate learning in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings. Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic academic environment.
