A Nursing Instructor or Professor teaches nursing students with a combination of classroom instruction and clinical training. Teaches academic subjects needed as the foundation for nursing, such as anatomy and chemistry, and also job skills required for direct patient care. Teaches at a college or in a hospital or other clinical setting.
Allied Health Job Summary We are currently seeking Instructors for our Certified Nurse Aide course. This position carries with it the obligation to uphold the Mission of North Central Texas College in carrying out the duties of the position. Responsibilities & Duties:
Treats students and colleagues with respect. Active involvement in issues of institutional effectiveness including student learning outcomes, program level outcomes, and marketable skill achievement. Focuses teaching and outreach efforts on student success. Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change based on the needs of the department and the institution. Required Education Licensed nurse (ADN, LVN, RN) in the state of Texas Program instructors must be approved by the Texas Health and Human Services (HHS) Required Skills & Abilities Capable of conducting the classroom and program requirements as mandated by the state curriculum. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Above average computer skills. Exhibition of respect and professionalism in a spirit of collegiality. Microsoft Office proficient. Ability to promote an effective environment for learning in lecture experiences. Sensitivity to the needs and requirements of adult learners. Knowledge and understanding of the professional career pathways and demand of the field. Preferred Skills & Abilities Proficiency in Canvas LMS preferred Required Experience Must have a minimum of one year of nursing home experience in a facility (nursing home) This one-year experience must have been obtained after the afore mentioned licensure Preferred Experience Clinical administration experience a preferred . Salary:
