POSITION PURPOSE

The Allied Health Instructor is responsible for teaching a variety of continuing education courses in the Allied Health field as assigned.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for teaching a variety of continuing education courses in the Allied Health field. Specific qualifications will vary by course. Teaching assignment may include classes on any Navarro College Campus or Online. Classes occur in the evening, during the day or on the weekend. Will perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Current license as Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse in Texas; AND At least two years of nursing experience; AND At least one year of experience in a long-term care or nursing facility or at least one-year of experience in teaching or supervising clinical students in a long-term care or nursing facility. OR Current license as a Registered Nurse, AND At least two years of experiencing in a long-term care setting, or an instructor in a school of nursing, OR at least two years of experience employed in a correctional setting. OR Current license as a registered pharmacist, AND At least one year of experience and currently employed as a consultant pharmacist in a facility; OR at least two years of experience employed as a pharmacist in a correctional setting.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Variances from regular working hours may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position. Busy working environment with numerous interruptions

SALARY:

$31. per hour / up to 19 hours per week
