Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) is seeking qualified and interested Adjunct Clinical Nursing Instructors in one or more of the following areas: Basic Skills, Med-Surge Nursing, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, and/or Mental Health Nursing. The Adjunct Clinical Nursing Instructor will supervise and evaluate the students' performance of skills and other nursing activities to assure safe practice. They will also collaborate with full-time nursing faculty at PVCC to review student progress in meeting clinical objectives. They will also provide direct feedback to the students regarding clinical performance. Responsibilities Guiding, facilitating, supervising, and mentoring a group of up to 10 students in a clinical setting. Clinical experiences are comprised of 45 hours hands-on with students and 10 hours of paperwork over a period of 8-weeks. KSA's/Required Qualifications The successful candidate will possess expert skills, knowledge, experience and education in the subject area and a history of successful teaching or related experience.
