061-CRT-03-26 Health Occupations Teacher Wenatchee High School .4 FTE Non-continuing 2026-2027 School Year
ONLY DESCRIPTION
High school nursing instructor to teach our Certified Nursing Assistant course. The course is taught in a 2-period block during 1st and 2nd period M-F each semester. The successful candidate will be working closely with other allied health course instructors in a collaborative environment to expand opportunities for students in related health fields. The ability to maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, staff, community groups, and volunteers is critical. Attend building/district meetings and conferences as required. Other related duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
Valid Washington state certification with appropriate endorsement. WA license in related field in good standing with no action against that license for working with vulnerable populations. RN required. All the experience required by DSHS and DOH to be qualified as a Program Director or Instructor is preferred. Willing and able to complete a Career and Technology Education Competency-based two-year program required to become vocationally certified. This instructor would need to plan, implement and evaluate classroom instruction consistent with building, district, and state academic and CTE standards. The candidate should have demonstrated skills in collaboration, organization, and leadership. Strong communication and technical skills are required and experience working with high school-age students is preferred. The ability to work as a team member is a must. Must have demonstrated the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with students, parents, and community members. Demonstrated ability to organize and complete detailed paperwork to maintain DSHS, DOH, State, and local program standards and requirements is critical. Attendance and punctuality are important functions of this job.

In addition, a background check, based on fingerprints, will be requested from the Washington State Patrol & FBI. Employment is conditional based upon completion of the record check.
