Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse - Unit Manager to lead and coordinate nursing operations within a dynamic long-term care facility. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive clinical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. As a Unit Manager, you will oversee daily nursing activities, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and foster a collaborative environment that promotes high standards of safety and quality. This role offers an opportunity to influence patient outcomes positively while managing a skilled nursing team in a fast-paced setting. Duties Provide clinical oversight and leadership for nursing staff, ensuring adherence to nursing policies, procedures, and regulatory standards such as HIPAA and long-term care regulations. Coordinate patient assessments, medical documentation, and care planning to optimize individualized treatment strategies across various specialties including geriatrics, behavioral health, critical care, and pediatrics. Supervise medication administration, IV infusion procedures, catheter care, tube feeding, and other complex nursing interventions while maintaining compliance with safety protocols. Oversee utilization review, discharge planning, and case management activities to ensure efficient patient throughput and appropriate resource utilization. Manage EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Point-Click-Care or Matrix for accurate documentation of patient information and medical records. Lead staff scheduling, supervise team performance, conduct evaluations, and facilitate ongoing training in areas such as infection control, sterile processing, and advanced life support techniques. Ensure the facility maintains compliance with state healthcare regulations and accreditation standards through regular audits and quality improvement initiatives. Skills Active RN license in Alabama with no restrictions Extensive clinical experience in areas such as in-facility rehab or long-term care settings Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including PCC or Matrix; familiarity with
