Job Description

Local Travel Med/Surg Charge RN for a 13-week contract in Troy, Alabama. Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients while leading unit operations. Earn competitive weekly pay up to $2,160 based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide safe, compassionate, high-quality care to adult medical-surgical patients. Serve as Charge RN, coordinating patient care and supporting daily unit operations. Supervise and collaborate with nursing staff to promote efficient patient care delivery. Assess patients, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate responses to treatment. Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility policies. Monitor patient conditions and recognize changes requiring prompt intervention. Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, ancillary staff, patients, and families. Delegate nursing responsibilities appropriately while maintaining accountability for patient outcomes. Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and care coordination. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation per facility requirements. Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and quality assurance standards. Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and ability to prioritize care in a fast-paced Med/Surg environment.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Active Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Alabama. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Current and complete immunization, health screening, and compliance documentation as required by the facility. Previous Med/Surg nursing experience. Strong medical-surgical clinical skills. Experience coordinating care and delegating assignments in an inpatient setting. Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Strong assessment, communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills.
Preferred Skills:
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Additional education or training related to leadership or nursing management is a plus. Previous Charge RN or nursing leadership experience strongly preferred. Experience coordinating care and delegating assignments in an inpatient setting preferred.
Qualifications:
You hold an active RN license in Alabama. You have Med/Surg experience and charge nurse leadership. You possess BLS certification and strong clinical judgment
