Nurse Manager:

Typical hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Call required. Required to provide additional coverage as needed based on unit staffing. This position is based within Jefferson Regional Nursing Departments. Refer back to posting on location.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing and/or Chief Nursing Officer, the Nurse Manager manages all staff assigned to them. Ensures the delivery of quality patient care to a defined group of patients. This position assures adequate skills and abilities to meet patient problems, maintains financial control, collaborates and maintains open communication with medical staff, unit personnel, and other ancillary department. Monitors appropriate utilization of resources in the provision of care and assures regulations/standards are met. The Nurse Manager will ensure all departmental staff will be informed of policies/ procedures and establish/maintain an environment of compliance.

Nurse Manager Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Graduate from an accredited nursing school program required.

Technical or Associates Degree in Nursing required. Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred.

This is a Safety Sensitive Position.•Minimum of 3+ years of clinical nursing experience with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.

Adequate verbal and written communication skills to interact with students, patients, families, and facultyCapacity to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionalsBasic flexibility to adapt to changesAttention to detailProvides compassionate support to patients and families, ensuring positive environment in the hospitalStrong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent leadership and problem solving skillsStrong knowledge of clinical operations, patient care standards, and healthcare regulations5+ years of clinical nursing experience with 2+ years in leadership or supervisory role preferred.

Experience with budget management, quality assurance, and performance improvement initiatives preferred.

Extensive knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and evidence based clinical practice preferred.
