The Nurse Manager Emergency Room will oversee ED nursing operations, staffing, throughput, clinical workflows, quality improvement, and the patient care environment, with Fast Track activity integrated into broader Emergency Services priorities. This position combines emergency services leadership with substantial operational ownership, close physician collaboration, and the autonomy to translate frontline insight into sustainable practice improvements. The manager will guide a capable nursing team while strengthening readiness, accountability, communication, and consistent standards across every shift.

Reporting to senior nursing leadership, the ER RN Manager will have executive support while serving as the visible nursing leader for the department. Responsibilities include staff development, performance management, scheduling oversight, regulatory readiness, patient experience, quality initiatives, and resource stewardship. Through strategic influence across disciplines, this leader will partner with emergency physicians, fellow nursing leaders, ancillary departments, and hospital executives to resolve barriers, improve coordination, and align departmental outcomes with organizational goals.
