This position is accountable for managing the overall operations of a defined patient care unit during an assigned shift. The incumbent is accountable for monitoring, evaluation, and directing patient care provided by staff, coordinating activities of the patient care unit, making staff assignments and assisting with the development and evaluation of staff members. The incumbent will assist with the recruitment and hiring of staff, evaluating staff competency and evaluating, coaching, and counseling assigned staff in concert with the Manager/Supervisor. This position practices within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Children's policies. Education Bachelors Degree (required) Bachelors Degree Nursing (preferred) Licenses and Certifications RN

- California Board of Registered Nursing (required) BLS
- Basic Life Support
- AHA•American Heart Association within 30 days of hire or transfer into position (required) Work Experience Minimum three (3) years Full time or equivalent nursing experience (required) Experience in Vascular Access (preferred) Skills and Abilities Other Demonstrated abilities in the areas of critical thinking, problem solving, conflict resolution, leadership including delegation, collaboration, feedback, effective communication and customer focused service behaviors.
