Nurse Manager Job Description An Infusion Nurse Manager is a registered nurse leader responsible for overseeing infusion nursing services, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and efficient clinical operations. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership, staff development, and operational management. Position Summary The Infusion Nurse Manager provides leadership, oversight, and support for infusion nursing staff while ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centered care. This role is responsible for managing clinical operations, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations, supporting quality improvement initiatives, and collaborating with pharmacy, providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure exceptional patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and support infusion nurses in delivering safe, evidence-based patient care. Recruit, interview, onboard, and evaluate nursing staff. Ensure compliance with company policies, state nursing practice acts, accreditation standards, and federal regulations. Provide clinical guidance and serve as a resource for complex patient care issues. Review nursing documentation for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance. Coordinate patient scheduling and staffing to meet patient care needs as needed. Collaborate with pharmacists, physicians, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Monitor quality indicators and implement performance improvement initiatives. Investigate and manage clinical incidents, patient complaints, and adverse events. Conduct competency assessments and ongoing staff education. Support infection prevention and patient safety initiatives. Assist with accreditation surveys and regulatory audits. Participate in on-call leadership responsibilities as needed. Qualifications Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license. BSN preferred; ADN with relevant leadership experience considered. Minimum of 3-5 years of infusion nursing experience. Minimum of 2 years management experience. Previous supervisory or management experience preferred. Strong knowledge of home infusion therapies, vascular access devices, and infusion standards. Knowledge of INS Standards of Practice and applicable state and federal regulations. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications. BLS certification required; CRNI® or IgCN certification preferred. $105,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
