Job Description Assists the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day operations of the Nursing Services department in accordance with current state and federal laws and regulations. Essential Duties include but not limited to Provide clinical oversight. Manage emergency situations and provide on-call support. Review and coordinate individualized care, assessments, and medication administration records. Participate in quality improvement programs to enhance safety, reduce risks, and improve resident outcomes. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including participating in surveys. Assist with establishing and updating policies and procedures. Maintain accurate records, including resident assessments, clinical forms, and incident reports. Aid with training, mentoring, and evaluating staff, including managing schedules and assignments. Act as a liaison between families, physicians, and staff regarding changes in resident condition. May provide direct nursing care & work beyond normal working hours, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
