2996667835-2 Apply for this job now Job Description St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT is seeking a Registered Nurse Supervisor to lead nursing teams in a fast-paced acute care environment. In this role, you will oversee daily unit operations, staffing, and patient flow while ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. You will collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, mentor and evaluate nursing staff, support evidence-based practice, and drive quality and safety initiatives. Responsibilities Supervise and support nursing staff on assigned units, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care. Coordinate patient care plans with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members. Oversee daily staffing, scheduling, and workload assignments to meet patient acuity needs. Monitor clinical quality, safety practices, and compliance with hospital and regulatory standards. Provide clinical guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback to nursing staff. Participate in patient and family education, rounding, and service recovery as needed. Assist with onboarding and ongoing training of nurses, including evidence-based practice initiatives. Use electronic health records and clinical systems to review care, documentation, and outcomes. Collaborate with leadership on process improvement, patient throughput, and quality metrics. Participate in on-call, rotating shifts, and escalation of critical patient care issues.
