In this vital leadership role, you will support the Nursing Manager in overseeing daily clinical operations, ensuring exceptional patient care, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. Responsibilities Assist the Nursing Manager in coordinating daily nursing operations, staffing, and resource allocation to optimize patient care delivery. Supervise nursing staff, providing mentorship, performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative team environment. Ensure compliance with ASC policies, state healthcare regulations, HIPAA privacy standards, and accreditation requirements such as TJC/CMS standards. Oversee patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and medical documentation to uphold nursing policy compliance. Support clinical procedures including IV's and basic life support techniques. Facilitate effective communication among multidisciplinary teams and manage escalations or urgent situations with professionalism and urgency. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, incident investigations, and utilization review processes to enhance patient safety and operational efficiency. Skills Proven leadership experience in nurse management or supervisory roles within acute care settings. Peri-operative care experience including Pre-op, Circulating and PACU exposure; familiarity with airway control is preferred. Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR); strong medical documentation skills are essential. Deep understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, diagnostic evaluation techniques, and physiology fundamentals. Skilled in patient assessment, vital signs measurement, and infection control practices. Ability to manage complex cases involving pediatric populations. Strong managerial communication skills with experience supervising teams managing diverse patient populations; adept at managing care facility teams while ensuring compliance with long-term care regulations.
