Full-Time 40 hours | Days Trinity Health Of New England is seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant Nurse Manager (RN) to support our growing Outpatient Oncology & Infusion Services team across Hartford and Glastonbury, Connecticut. This is an exciting opportunity for an oncology nurse leader who is ready to advance their career while helping drive exceptional patient outcomes, team engagement, and operational excellence. As the Assistant Nurse Manager, you will partner closely with clinical and operational leaders to support day-to-day operations of our outpatient cancer and infusion centers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care for oncology and hematology patients. What You'll Do Support daily clinical operations, staffing, and patient flow across multiple outpatient oncology and infusion locations. Assist in leading, mentoring, and developing registered nurses, medical assistants, and support staff. Promote a culture of patient safety, quality, service excellence, and evidence-based practice. Provide clinical oversight and serve as a resource for complex patient care situations. Partner with leadership to achieve quality, compliance, patient experience, and operational goals. Facilitate staff onboarding, education, competency validation, and professional development. Monitor performance metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives. Foster employee engagement, retention, and a collaborative team environment. Maintain a visible leadership presence while supporting patients, families, providers, and staff. Qualifications Current Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience required. Oncology, infusion, ambulatory, or outpatient specialty experience strongly preferred. Prior Charge Nurse, Lead RN, Preceptor, or Leadership experience preferred. BLS certification required. Strong communication, organization, coaching, and problem-solving skills. Experience with Epic or other electronic medical record systems preferred.
