Salary:
$75,500-$87,500 annually Job Summary Boca Circle Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Unit Manager (RN) to join our leadership team. In this role, you will support the Director of Nursing (DON) and Associate Director of Nursing (ADON) in overseeing the daily operations of the Nursing Department, ensuring exceptional resident care and regulatory compliance. This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for a compassionate RN who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to guiding, mentoring, and supporting nursing staff while maintaining the highest standards of care. Key Responsibilities Assist in planning, organizing, developing, and evaluating daily nursing operations in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Supervise nursing staff, ensuring adherence to job responsibilities, facility policies, and professional standards Participate in state and federal surveys and inspections Contribute to the development, review, and updating of resident care plans Conduct annual performance evaluations for LPNs and CNAs Implement progressive discipline, including verbal and written counseling when necessary Participate in hiring, probationary reviews, and disciplinary actions Communicate effectively with physicians, residents, families, and nursing leadership regarding resident care concerns Ensure adequate staffing coverage to maintain quality care on all shifts Conduct routine rounds to assess staff performance and compliance with nursing standards Review and investigate resident complaints and grievances, reporting findings to the Director of Nursing Services Welcome and assist newly admitted residents to ensure a smooth transition into the facility Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives Monitor medication administration and treatment schedules for accuracy and compliance Provide direct nursing care as needed Assist with resident assessments and care planning Ensure accurate and timely documentation by licensed nursing staff Oversee emergency equipment checks and controlled substance counts Ensure rooms are prepared for admissions and maintenance requests are completed Manage unit supplies and equipment to support resident care needs Qualifications Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or healthcare setting Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to make independent decisions in urgent or emergency situations Thorough knowledge of nursing practices, medical procedures, and healthcare regulations Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate nursing programs to ensure quality care Open to adopting new nursing methods and best practices Benefits Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) Medical and Dental Insurance Company Perks Employee Recognition Programs Supportive, Team-Oriented Work Environment 1 Personal Floating Holiday Join Our Team If you are a motivated RN leader with a passion for quality care and staff development, we invite you to apply today and become part of the Boca Circle Rehabilitation Center team.
