Florida Statutes Job Description:

The Clinical Research Nurse will be responsible for, responding to patient alerts, assessing patient symptoms, following clinical protocols, documenting findings, plan, outcome in EMR and data collection tools. Obtain and record research data in conjunction with physicians and other professionals on the research team; enroll study subjects, interview subjects; review medical records; assist in planning nursing aspects of medical team research; complete data collection tools. Maintain and oversee nurse log databases. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and their families, professional or community groups and volunteers; maintain contact with public agencies which are involved with aspects of the research. Determine eligibility of potential study participants; obtain informed consent; enroll patients in research protocol; coordinate all aspects of the patient's care. Upload participant's information into the Mosio text platform. Trains and direct supervision of Clinical Research Nurse positions (local and outlying counties). Creates and manages Clinical Research Nurse recruitment schedule/locations. Delegates daily Clinical Research Nurse tasks. Explain research protocol to participants; respond to patient inquiries regarding protocol; schedule patient participation; ensure compliance with research protocol; inform referring physicians of protocol requirements. Collect, record, organize, transcribe and verify accuracy of research data; Coordinate the collection of research data; create data collection tools through applications such as REDCap. Will work with administrative staff and research peers, or Principal Investigator (PI), on Institutional Review Board submissions. The Clinical Research Nurse will communicate with sponsors, auditors, monitoring agencies, and the Institutional Review Board(s) in a timely, accurate, and effective manner. Performs other duties as may be necessary to conduct study and carryout related functions of the Division. Travel to clinics for potential participate registration and to train staff as needed.

Expected Salary:

$75,000

•$77,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience

Required Qualifications:

Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program and three years of professional nursing experience. Licensed as a registered nurse in accordance with Chapter 464, Florida Statutes.

Preferred:

Strong written and oral communication skills, Bilingual preferred. Preferred 3+ years of experience in obstetrics and/or research, specifically patient recruitment, performing research studies, follow-up visits and maintenance of study records. Special Instructions to
