Orlando, FL Job Details Full-time 4 hours ago Benefits Mileage reimbursement Paid holidays Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off Qualifications Bilingual Spanish Teamwork Program management RN License Clinical documentation Training & development Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Manager Private Duty Nurse to serve as the operational and clinical leader responsible for establishing the infrastructure necessary to successfully launch and maintain private duty nursing services while ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered care and compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, payer requirements, accreditation standards, and Agency policies. They will lead the development of the PDN division from initial implementation through ongoing operations, including program development, clinical policies and procedures, staffing models, clinical workflows, referral and admission processes, competency programs, documentation standards, scheduling systems, quality assurance activities, payer requirements, utilization management, and performance monitoring. They are expected to develop the PDN Division into a sustainable and scalable service line while maintaining appropriate clinical oversight and collaboration with Agency leadership, Nursing, Operations, Compliance, Quality Assurance, Human Resources, Revenue Cycle, Intake, Scheduling, and other departments.

QUALIFICATIONS

The applicant must meet all applicable regulatory and Agency requirements for the position and should possess: Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida. Minimum of three (3) years of professional nursing experience preferred. Private Duty Nursing, pediatric nursing, home health, complex care, skilled home care, or comparable clinical experience strongly preferred. Previous supervisory, management, or nursing leadership experience strongly preferred. Experience developing or expanding a clinical program or service line preferred. Knowledge of Medicaid, managed care organizations, private insurance, authorization requirements, and home health reimbursement preferred. Knowledge of Florida home health regulations and applicable accreditation requirements. Strong understanding of clinical documentation, plans of care, physician/provider orders, medication administration, infection prevention, emergency preparedness, patient safety, and nursing scope of practice. Experience supervising RNs and LPNs. Knowledge of pediatric and/or medically complex patient populations preferred. Ability to interpret clinical and operational data and develop corrective action plans. Strong organizational, leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to develop policies, procedures, workflows, training programs, and operational systems. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities while developing a new division.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. PDN DIVISION DEVELOPMENT & IMPLEMENTATION

The applicant will lead the development and implementation of the Agency's Private Duty Nursing Division.

Responsibilities include:

Develop a comprehensive implementation plan for the PDN Division. Establish the organizational and clinical structure of the division. Identify staffing, operational, clinical, technological, and administrative resources required to operate the division. Develop PDN-specific policies, procedures, protocols, workflows, forms, checklists, and clinical documentation requirements. Establish procedures for referral, intake, clinical review, admission, staffing, authorization verification, scheduling, service initiation, reassessment, recertification, discharge, and transfer. Establish standards for accepting patients based upon clinical needs, staffing capabilities, payer requirements, geographic coverage, and Agency capacity. Develop staffing models appropriate for extended-hour and shift-based nursing services. Develop procedures for managing open shifts, call-outs, staffing emergencies, and continuity of care. Coordinate with leadership regarding the phased launch and expansion of PDN services. Identify barriers to implementation and recommend solutions to executive leadership. Develop standardized PDN operational manuals and clinical resources. Establish systems that allow the division to expand without compromising quality or regulatory compliance. 2.

CLINICAL LEADERSHIP & OVERSIGHT

The applicant is responsible for ensuring that patients receiving PDN services receive appropriate clinical oversight.

Responsibilities include:

Oversee clinical operations of the PDN Division. Ensure nursing services are provided in accordance with physician/provider orders, plans of care, authorizations, applicable standards of practice, and Agency policies. Review patients for clinical appropriateness prior to admission when required. Ensure initial assessments, reassessments, supervisory visits, recertifications, and other required clinical activities are completed timely. Monitor changes in patient condition and ensure appropriate clinical interventions and notifications occur. Ensure appropriate coordination between physicians, providers, families, nurses, pharmacies, hospitals, schools, therapy providers, case managers, and other members of the patient's care team. Establish procedures for escalation of significant changes in condition. Provide clinical consultation and leadership for complex cases. Ensure nursing personnel operate within their authorized scope of practice. Monitor patient safety and continuity of care.
