Description:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Shift Coordinator Grand Villa of Port Charlotte is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time LPN/Shift Coordinator to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily nursing operations during assigned shifts, ensuring quality care and compliance with all regulations Coordinate and supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow Administer medications and treatments accurately according to care plans Monitor residents' health status and respond promptly to any changes or emergencies Document all care activities accurately and maintain detailed resident records Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update individualized care plans Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control standards Assist in training and mentoring new staff members
Skills and Qualifications:
Valid and active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Florida Proven experience in a long-term care or assisted living setting preferred Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to handle multiple priorities and remain calm under pressure Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to nursing home care Compassionate, patient-focused approach to resident care Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems At Grand Villa of Port Charlotte, we foster a warm, welcoming environment where our team members are valued and supported.
