Royal Care of Avon Park, a skilled nursing facility is now recruiting a RN Unit Manager to become part of our management team providing quality care to our residents.
Shifts:
8 hour shift 8a-5p
Job Duties:
Manage staff, oversee patient care and ensure adherence to established policies and procedures. Assist with training new personnel. Schedule and assign nursing staff and monitor their activities and follow up on work results. Work collaboratively, as part of an interdisciplinary clinical team. Dedication to providing quality care to our patients. Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by monitoring confidential information processing. Protect patients and employees by developing and interpreting infection-control policies and protocols; enforcing medication administration, storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations. Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Perform other duties as assigned or as needed.
Requirements:
Must possess RN license in the State of Florida with at least 2 years nursing AND supervisory experience, preferably in a skilled nursing facility. Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Perform duties with professionalism and courtesy at all times. Working knowledge health care laws and regulations. Highly familiar with HIPAA, Patients Rights and skilled nursing facility policies and procedures. CPR/BLS card Must be able to pass level II background check and submit valid work references. This position requires a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
